The Sands Hotel is located in the up and coming Seaside town of Margate Kent.
The hotels Bay Restaurant is situated in the centre of the hotel offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and afternoon tea with all dishes using fresh, seasonal produce. Currently we have two rosettes.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Sous Chef who can lead the team in the absence of our head chef.
You will have previously worked as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef in a rosette standard establishment or equivalent. With the intention of supporting our head chef with the day to day running of the kitchen, you will also be bringing high-end cooking skills to the team and help us achieve rosette standard cuisine.
You will be able to instruct, train and supervise the team in preparation and assembly of finished dishes to the standard as set by our head chef.
Input your own ideas in to our seasonal changing menus and work with our head chef to create a new and interesting dining experience.
You will be expected to demonstrate an excellent understanding of kitchen management and organisation, demonstrate working knowledge of food Safety and Health and Safety compliance.

The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for managing the professional day to day operation of the Hotel, Housekeeping and Front Office, meeting the company standards. This includes areas such as the general Front Office e.g. Reception, Reservations, Concierge and Night manager, reporting directly to the General Manager. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional candidate who works well in a team as well as individually. The candidate must have a pleasant forthcoming personality and be greatly focused on customer care.
This is a full time post, working on a rota that will include morning, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Bay Restaurant is situated in the centre of the hotel and offers breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. Currently holding two rosettes, we offer a Modern European menu inspired by local and seasonal produce. Everything is freshly made.
We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to help maintain high levels of service and assist with the smooth running of the kitchen by cleaning all kitchenware to the required standard and carrying out any cleaning duties.
